The Mercenary grunted as the wagon hit a bump in the road, making his uncomfortable bed even more so.
Mosaruun didn’t remember the trail being so rough. He raised an arm to peek through the blanket he hid beneath, but the wagon stopped. The redhead held his breath, as still as a statue.
Soon, the blanket was pulled off of the man in the wagon. Mosaruun quickly drew his black bladed falchion as he came face to face with half of a dozen men aiming their own weapons at him in the dark of the night.
What an unfriendly bunch.
