In the evening before the winds blew, Tiz scaled the College and sat on the roof. The tiles, held together by Change magic, barely shifted under his boots. From there he could see the town and the ruined Tower beyond, hazy in failing light. The trees had grown around it, and now only the very tip was visible through the sea of green. It had sunken into the earth years before; long ago, it was said, it had brushed the sky.
Someday, Tiz knew, he would visit that Tower. He would climb rusty beams.
He would know it’s true name.
