Story : knights & necromancers

Cookie Crumbs : Alternate version of Dancing, though it contradicts the original. I'm not sure which role I prefer for Ski in the matter.

...and sometimes it doesn't serve you well to be the last to know. I think I liked this piece best of the lot--Ski's emotions really come through well.

thanks :) this was the one that made me decide they were worth posting

I'm a little torn though. I read the old one just before I posted. I really like the idea of her deciding to finally take a stand and admit her feelings and pursue something with him, only to have Lyssa swoop in before she has the chance to. But I also like the old version where she basically squashes all that and implies they've got her permission. Of course she's got the next few years to do that anyway.

I think I like Ski in this version, even though she has left things for too long. Somehow, I never really took it that she'd given implied consent in Dancing, more that she was passing silent comment on Lyssa's assurances that she didn't bite.

thanks :)

I think I'm going to end up working out something between the two.

Hm, I like both versions too! This one is obviously messier which is good ;) But the parallel of the two balls a year apart works quite well here and even in the other version, I can see Ski having these feelings to some extent.

thanks :)

I think I'm going to try to come up with something between the two. I do like the idea of her deciding to finally take action at just the wrong time.
