Wedding Cake #1. Bachelorette Party
Story : knights & necromancers
Rating : PG
Timeframe : 1270
Word Count : 1024

Another point for my team for 1k+. It's been almost a year since I committed to marrying Ski off. The flavor of the month looks like a good opportunity to flesh that out a bit more. And I will keep working on catching up on reading.

First of all, WOOT! for writing 1k.

Second, I love Ski and Lyssa's relationship. It's so complex and yet so loving. They may not always agree or see eye to eye but they are there for each other.

yay! all in one day too! I feel accomplished :)

Thank you! I love working with them for just that reason. They can bicker and harp on each other to no end but they're always there for each other just the same.

Where there is Lyssa, there is booze ;)

And if Ski needs her, she'll do whatever she has to. Also, she couldn't resist that last bit ;)

thanks!

Thank you! :)

There's a lot of it, so if you have any questions about what's what or where to go, let me know.

Woo! I don't think I've read anything with these two together before but I agree with Roisin, I love their relationship here. There's so much subtext both good and bad. Very nice!

thanks :)

They are one of my favorite relationships to write. They're always there for each other, but they're not always happy about it.

Okay, this is a worse bacherlorette party than the one I went to where there was no booze and a sleeping baby we had to avoid disturbing ;)

But seriously, poor Ski. It's her own mess of course, but the circumstances are pretty shitty. Lyssa kind of amused me in this scene because she's just so jaded...we can count on her for comedy relief when things are grim. And she's never shy about calling Ski out!

I'm so glad you're writing again! I thoroughly enjoyed all these pieces :D

thank you! :)

That does not sound like fun either.

I need to write some with Dalton, because really they are friends at this point, so it's not like she's heading into something THAT awful.

Yeah, I figured they were friendly and doing it for ~mutually beneficial! reasons...I just doubt Ski is in the best place mentally to get married again for any reason.

That party was actually kind of fun because the people there were fun...and we got to play Guitar Hero VERY QUIETLY ;) Made for a good story at least!

Oh, ouch D: Every second of this scene had me hurting for both of them, because I'm not sure what else Ski can do and Lyssa clearly isn't happy either. Although the last bit brought a needed laugh--Ski really should know better than to ask by now :P

Ski has not had a fun homecoming so far, but the wedding will manage to shut some people up at least. Lyssa would rather not have anything to do with court related stuff at all. And yes, Ski should know better, but I couldn't help myself.

thanks :)
