Ohh man, the whole figuring out where to apply thing... Kairn is so entering college undeclared. I like that he's interested in fish, tho he kind of pulled that out of thin air ;)

Sethan is so intriguing me in his AU! So his parents are never around...but his mother still expects him to follow a certain career path? :P Anyway, I liked Sethan's comment about Kairn and Reida and Kairn's "you're still my best friend" gave me an awww moment.

I want to see a banana of the face Sethan drew on the egg now!

lol yes Kairn is pretty overwhelmed. In canon he was from a fishing village, and I know I mostly played up the boat thing in caramel, but he always had a thing for fishing and boats and whatnot, so when I was racking my brain for something for him to be interested in in the au, I went with that. I haven't done anything with it yet, but I think he's working at a pet store.

Sethan's mom is a real piece of work. She'll be around later.

Yay for aww moments ;)

I didn't really have anything in mind for Sethan's drawing, so idk.

The story only goes on for a week, so I don't think Kairn's going to be making any decisions just yet.

I don't even know where to start with this one even though Falootin mentioned a lot of the awesome stuff. I'm so curious about Sethan's mom and am glad she'll be around later so we'll get to see what's up there.

Sethan and Kairn's conversation was great. I hate the idea of essays for college admission. Where you end up in ten years really depends on whether you get into college or not, doesn't it? And what are the criteria for good essay or not? That's always bothered me (which is why I refused to apply anywhere that asked questions like that). Kairn liking fish was kinda sweet though. They can't hurt him all that much. Sethan and medical school make a little bit of sense. It's not like he hates corpses and bodies in general in canon.

This is probably one of my favorite sections of what I have done so far, because it was kind of standard Sethan & Kairn.

There is nothing I hate more academically than writing papers about yourself. The questions they ask for admissions and scholarships are always so idiotic.

Awww, heartwarming moment of friendship! Sethan...translates really interestingly into the modern world. I am so intrigued. Also, I like the uncertainty that comes with trying to think about the future, here, it's so realistic.

It's hard making Sethan be Sethan without all the "specialness" that naturally goes along with that in canon. It does seem kind of strange to see him having normal, real world problems. And I couldn't help myself with the aww moment ;)
