I thought it was a great piece! The chain was easy to follow, it didn't feel like anything was left out and each segment was good on its own. Distant Thunder was my favorite, I wouldn't want to meet his grandmother either.

Thank you! It was super hard to write, mainly because I am a stickler for details so I wanted to have everything about boot camp right. The 'distant thunder' part was actually inspired by a soldire's post on (yes, i really am that detail oriented) a suggestion website. He just said that the Drill Sergeants compared you to their grandmothers and felt that you were lacking. i just loved that image... :P

I thought this flowed quite well. You showed the "joys" of basic training (I heard all sorts of stories from my uncles) quite well as well as showing just how much Emily means to Daisy.

I don't think I'll ever understand why anyone would ever go through boot camp. I feel a tiny bit bad for Elliott. He really didn't know what hit him.
