Cas and David both warn her it’s like nothing she’s used to. She disagrees, but likes them both too much to argue outwardly. They’re only concerned for her.
Really, it’s everything she ever loved. The beats that course through her body. Pounding her heart. Strumming her heels. Club music’s just the sounds she grew up with, but louder. More encompassing.
She feels safe too. David’s drowning his memories but Cas is there. Solid, steady. She can indulge, let loose, let the rhythm take over. Everything she loves, exalts in. Knowing Cas will be waiting.
Somehow that’s better than the music.
