Notes: Hello! We're back with Albert's daughter and we get a peak at the future children as well. I know I'm jumping around without showing any of their parents, yet, but I wanted to make it up to Olivia for my poor NaNo of her. I'll explain their parents later, but now let's look at the kids. They're in high school here. Enjoy! Comments are welcome!
Olivia should have known something was up when Amelia grinned at her. She had no idea her cousin had this in mind, but Aunt Angelique’s kids were like that. Olivia, Amelia, and the rest of the decorating committee placed the last final additions on their classroom. She was happy that Sean and his team could help them, but didn’t notice her cousins planning something. Now she wished she paid attention.
She looked up at the mistletoe, hanging above her head and shot a glare at Amelia.
Amelia only grinned in response, her purple eyes dancing in mischief. “I don’t know why you’re glaring at me. I didn’t trap you under there.”
“I’m sure your spell will do that.” Olivia snapped, but Amelia laughed.
“Why are you upset? I gave you an early Christmas gift.” Amelia said.
Olivia flushed, turning to the other person caught under the mistletoe.
Sean laughed, rubbing the back of his head. “Yeah, you could call it that.” He turned to Olivia with a light flush on his cheeks. “Um, since we’re under here…”
“Yeah,” Olivia leaned up and kissed his cheek.
Sean grinned and turned to move with Olivia when a force held them back. Olivia groaned and looked at Amelia who smiled sweetly. She shook her head with a sigh. I should have known. Olivia turned to Sean with a sheepish smile. “Sorry about tha--” she started when Sean pressed his lips against hers softly. Olivia blinked in surprise before closing her eyes. She was afraid to move, in case she messed it up somehow.
Sean pulled back with a smile. “I think that’s one way to break the spell.”
Olivia giggled. “Yeah,” Is that all I can come up with?
Sean tested the area around them and nodded. “We can leave now.”
“Oh okay,” Olivia reluctantly stepped back. She wanted to kiss Sean again, but wanted it to be away from Amelia.
“Hey, will you come with me to the closet in the other classroom?” Sean asked.
“Sure, what do you need?”
“I need to grab the snowman and put back the other decorations.”
“Alright, I can come with you.” Olivia turned to Amelia and pointed at her. “We’re not done, you know.”
“Oh I know, I’m just waiting for that day to come.” Amelia smirked.
Olivia rolled her eyes as Sean laughed. “Ready to go?”
“Yeah,” Olivia waved at Amelia and her friend Jan and walked out the door.
On the walk to the closet, Olivia’s mind worked overtime. She worried if her cousin’s pranks finally went too far. Sean didn’t act differently, but his smile and movement felt different than before. Olivia didn’t want to fret, but Sean’s behavior made her nervous.
If that prank messed up our friendship, I’m going to get Amelia. Olivia frowned as she balled up her fist.
They made it to the closet without any interruptions, but it didn’t soothe Olivia. She opened the door and stepped inside and Sean followed in behind her. They walked to the nearest shelf when Sean tapped her shoulder. Olivia turned around as Sean pointed about their heads. “Um, there is mistletoe here too.”
Olivia looked up above them and swallowed. “Yeah, there is,”
“Want to try again without an audience?” Sean grinned.
Olivia blinked in surprise. “You want to try it again?”
Sean nodded. “Yeah, unless, you--” He started when Olivia kissed him. It was quick and she’s sure not the best, but Sean didn’t mind. He placed his hands on her shoulders and returned the kiss. Olivia tentatively placed her hands on Sean’s waist. They kissed softly in the privacy of the closet without the interruption of their friends. It felt wonderful.
Sean stepped back with his hands lightly on her shoulders. “So, want to go back?”
Olivia shook her head. “They can wait a few minutes.” She leaned up and kissed Sean softly again. Sean gave a muffled agreement as he kissed her back.
Olivia had to admit that wasn’t a bad present before their break. She wouldn’t tell Amelia that, though.
