The sound was like a charging bull when the door nearly exploded open. Seren gave a wild gasp, grabbing baby Khaleb frantically as the soldiers busted through the front entrance. Barely had she a time to turn and run before she was grabbed herself by a pair of brawny hands. The soldier began to grab her other arm but Seren wouldn't have it.
"You have me! Please don't make me drop this baby!" She pleaded. The soldier reluctantly conceded and Seren tried to calm the infant, sighing in relief. The relief quickly disappeared as screams could be heard from upstairs as the other men invaded the house. "Nadine?" Seren squeaked out, trying to get to her foster mother but the soldier who had earlier let her hold Khaleb in her arms, glared down at her, squeezing her one arm tight.
"Stay where you are, girl."
Seren nodded, swallowing hard in fear. She looked up to see Nadine coming down the staircase at gunpoint with two soldiers behind her. The one holding Seren's arm stood at attention as they led Nadine out the front door.
"I found these two minors. What do you wish to do with them, Commander Dunn?" he asked in a loyal tone.
The blond long haired commander looked down at the two before he gestured silently toward the door.
"Bring them outside with the mother. Their blood will tell us where they need to go."
"Yes, sir."
Soon, the three found themselves standing in front of their house, silent as they watched one of the soldiers come toward Nadine with a an object that Seren thought resembled a glucometer.
As it pricked her finger; bringing up a dot of her red blood, Nadine whimpered in slight pain.
Seren gave a whimper of her own.
Commander Dunn looked down at the result flashing on the screen. "She's negative." Nadine looked side to side nervously.
"That's too bad." The commander sighed out.
Nadine clutched her bleeding finger to her body asking, "Wait...what does that mean?" Commander Dunn and the others looked to each other and laughed. "You could have lived like a queen...if you had the right blood type. But you don't, so no matter." He waved her away. "You can go where you choose now. However..." the voice he had turned deep and sinister.
Commander Dunn then advanced toward Seren; a hungry gleam in his eyes as he scanned her curvy jean and cropped tee shirt covered body. "If this girl is negative...oh, we have some plans in store for her." The men chuckled as Seren moved uncomfortably with Khaleb still clutched in her arms. She didn't miss the gleam and she didn't like it.
Dunn noticed the baby still in her arms and he hated that he was covering up part the view. "Give that damn baby to his mother, girl." he commanded. Seren hesitated a bit, looking over at Nadine nervously.
"It's all right, Sere. Bring him to me cause they need to check his blood too." Nadine reassured, noticing the commander's feral glare at her daughter's pause. Seren warily walked past the many soldiers to where Nadine was, handing Khaleb to her with careful hands. As soon as he was put in Nadine's arms, a soldier tested his blood sending out pain filled wails from his tiny mouth. The soldier shook his head, indicating that he was negative as well.
Seren opened her arms to take her brother again, then cried out in shock as Commander Dunn promptly grabbed one of her hands in his hard grasp, forcefully pulling her to his tall strapping body. "No! Please!" Nadine called out in fright. Seren tried to struggle; tried to get away, but he held her close, his hand covering her buttocks shamelessly.
"Mmmm...best for last." He nearly purred out at her, before giving a vulgar grin.
"Let me go!" Seren exclaimed, pushing against him. In a smooth movement, Dunn turned her around so that her back was to his chest; his arm situated between her breasts restraining her still. Heat of embarrassment rushed to her cheeks as a tear came down her face. He motioned to the soldier still at Nadine's side.
"Hurry up and test her! I can't wait to find out what results come up."
Seren turned her head and winced as her blood was taken. The soldier looked at the results and then frowned. The commander did as well. "Well...what is it?"
"It says...'unknown'"
"Unknown?"
"Yes, sir. Perhaps it's broken? Should I get another one?"
Commander Dunn thought about it; this could work in his favor he thought. "No...we'll just tell the Professor that this one was negative."
Seren gasped as well as Nadine and the soldier couldn't believe his ears. "Sir?"
"You heard me! Don't question my mind, soldier!"
"Yes, sir!" The soldier stood at attention. A girl meant nothing compared to his job.
Dunn looked down at the teenager. "You hear that...you're mine now." he growled out.
Seren reached for Nadine madly, tears coming down her face. "Nadine! Nadine, please help me!"
Nadine rushed to her daughter, before being barricaded by soldiers. "No, no! Seren!" She cried out, trying to reach her as well.
"Let's go!" Commander Dunn yelled out. "Make sure that bitch doesn't follow us either." "Yes, sir!" the soldiers yelled back as the Commander turned around with Seren still in his arms. His hand came up from between her breasts to caress the right one. Seren squirmed in disgust, trying to get away. "Let...let me go! Please! I'm only a teenager!"
"Please! That means nothing now, sweetheart. Times have changed and now...nobody can protect you." The commander explained as he put handcuffs on her wrists and ankles. Seren sobbed as he did so then let out a short scream as she was hoisted over his shoulder. Her eyes caught Nadine's and she sobbed out, "Please...Nadine. Don't let him take me..."
Nadine wanted so badly to rescue her, but was helpless to do so. "I promise. I will find you, baby." she said, clutching her baby boy securely.
Seren and the commander turned the corner to the car and were soon out of sight.
