Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry

“Welcome, everybody, I’m so glad you could all make it. It’s great to get together after all these years.” The woman with long, brown hair said, glancing around the table.

“Liz, it was so nice of you to invite us all.” A blonde, her arm intertwined with a blue eyed gentleman’s, said.

“I’m surprised we didn’t do this sooner. How many years has it been now? Six?” A woman with blonde-brown hair told the group.

“Almost six and half, JulieAnn. Hope just turned nine.” The raven-haired lady across from her answered.

“Oh, my. We’ve all changed so much.” A shy-looking woman with short, brown hair stated.

“I see our relationships haven’t change all that much, though. It’s good to see you two are still together, Courtney and Cale.” JulieAnn told the blonde and her gentleman.

“Same to you and Skye, Jewels.” Courtney said, using the age-old nickname.

“Mommy!” A three ear old boy ran screaming into the room.

“Rivers, what’s wrong, honey?” Courtney knelt down to talk to her child.

“She named him Rivers?” JulieAnn questioned under her breath.

“I wanna sit wit’ mommy!” Rivers pleaded. Courtney picked him up and set him on her lap.

“How are you relationship wise, Miranda?” Courtney asked, always one to intrude.

“Scott is away- deployed. It’s a bit tough, but we make it.” The lady with the short, brown hair told them.

“Seems like everyone but me has found their happily ever after!” Isabel, the raven-haired, mother of Hope, joked.

“Don’t worry, you’ll find someone soon.” Liz reminded her. Liz held the hand of a man with dark hair and a bulky figure.

“Thanks, Liz. It’s just hard to find someone who accepts me… and Hope.” Izzy admitted.

“I bet there’s the right guy just waiting for you.” Courtney told her, bouncing Rivers on her lap.

“I guess I’ll just have to keep looking.” Izzy stated. She looked around the table, and felt another pang of jealousy. They were all happily married, and here she was, alone.

Don’t say that, she reminded herself, you have a wonderful daughter. But nothing could take the place of the man she felt was missing in her, and Hope’s life.
