I read books 1 through 4 before I was eleven (because those were the only ones who had come out so far. I got started just after 3 came out and nobody around here knew Harry Potter) and I secretly hoped that letter. I would pretend that my actual classes were Hogwarts classes and assigned a subject to each of them. Fun times XD

Half-Blood Prince pretty much made me an outsider because it was the first book I ever read in English, not being able to wait and because by then, it had become the huge phenomena it is now, I got banned from talking about it (by my mom who wanted to read it in Portuguese, by friends...). I was always pretty much Harry's age throughout the latter three books (give or take a year).

Back then (and probably even today), I would love a birthday like that.

Hehe, I have no doubt this crew hopes for the letter too! I did as well - I was about the right age at the beginning of the books when they first started coming out :D Oh wow, that must have been hard!

I did this on a big scale for the kids at my day camp about this time period and they LOVED it!

Most of this was old research for a real project I did once but yeah, it took some time :D This is probably Ry's favorite birthday forever!

They really do like her, even if she's a lot younger -this was also a good excuse to bribe parents for supplies so they could do it too :P
