Cathrynne sighed and swiped a hand under her nose, making a face as she recognized that, actually, she'd needed a tissue. "Ker, can you hand me the... oh, thank you," she interrupted herself as Kiernan anticipated her need and held the box for her. She took a few and leaned back. "Can you... yeah." It happened again as he put a hand on the wheel from the passenger seat while she blew her nose.
"You could let /me/ drive for a bit," he pointed out. To his credit, he only growled a little bit when he said it; that was fairly restrained, considering that he was practically in a fetal position in the cramped passenger seat. It hadn't adjusted forward or back since the week after she'd bought the car.
Tossing the well-used tissues into the footwell of Kiernan's seat, she ignored the disgusted face he made and flipped on the wipers again. "I could." She sniffed hugely, then coughed. "UGH." Fumbling for another tissue, she spat into it and then disposed of it the same way she'd handled the other tissues.
"Oh, Cat, that's just /gross/!" Kiernan protested. "That's it. Pull over at the next rest area. I am /not/ riding all the way to Denver with your snot-tissues on my feet!"
She just turned the defogger up to drown him out.
