Light isn't always good and dark isn't always bad. I like to play with things. :D And yeah, Jake had a heavy dose of survivor's guilt as well as some PTSD to deal with. He's not all better yet, he may never be all better, but at least now he's moving towards it.

Oh man. This is...beautiful, which might be a weird thing to say given how dark it is in places, but just the way he realizes he's getting nearer and nearer to forgiveness, and the way it's written...I love it, as sad as it is. Excellent job.
