On the twins' first birthday, Ira delighted in watching people put presents on the table in front of her. Her face lit up and she squirmed in her mother's arms, leaning forward to reach for the colorful items that were far out of her grasp. When she realized it was far out of her grasp, her expression turned comically determined, and she reached for it one last time. When that failed, her face scrunched up and turned red, and she slumped back against Chloe to scowl... Only to repeat the process over again, when somebody set down another present.
