I'll pretend that I don't understand exactly where Kendra is coming from at this point in her life...except for the part about having killed too many people (which I haven't done). But that is a very true sense of malaise about one's life. When you reach a certain point, all that is and all that could be rushes over you, overwhelms...

Forever Young...love it. :)

I got the idea while driving Matze to class (he missed the bus or something) and it was really early and usually, I would have gone back to bed but Forever Young was playing when I was driving back home and I had the entire story right in front of me.

I've had my own "this isn't going anywhere" bout earlier this year and I think that helped in writing this.

very nice piece :)

They are such a wonderfully messed up pair. I love the recurring theme with the dancing - it is so un-Kendra and that just makes it more special. Jamie is so sweet through the whole thing, and I really feel for Kendra. She's always so tough and so brusque, and under it all she is just so messed up and needy.

messed up and needy describes Kendra really, really well. And Jamie just can't tear himself away from that accident about to happen. For several decades.

I can't see Kendra dancing in any other context aside from this.
