Thank you so much! Their friendship isn't going to be quite the same, but it's important to Carrie that they stay close and she knows it's even more important to Chase. They'll be stronger in the end because of it, although Chase is in for a...not very nice time for a while after this.

No one is ever going to meet Chase's standards for Carrie ;) All right, Dean might squeak by. I love how the dialogue flows in this and how well all the messed up emotions come across, and I feel for them both. They are both so awesome and even when they do have tension between them it's still so sweet!

Dean'll squeak by in the end :P It's not that Chase objects to him personally, especially when he gets over this and sees how well they fit together. Thank you very much! I'm glad it flows well. They are my favorite even when there's tension. :D

oh wow, I love that Chase bursts out with “Dean could be a…spy for the Purple Barbarian Kingdom, for all we know!”! This is a great piece. I liked how Chase knew what Carrie was going to say as soon as she mentioned Dean ~in that way, and the way their whole confrontation developed. They are like the sweetest ever ♥♥♥

:D I'm glad you like that line. This has been a secret fear of Chase's for a while, at this point, and he'll eventually be okay with it, but he and Carrie have to go through this stuff first. And then some. Thank you so much, and I hope you like how I used your prompt!

Aww, Chase! Don't worry, you're not getting replaced. There's something of an almost slightly jealous undertone in Chase's reaction that I wonder if either of them really get. I hope Dean treats Carrie right; Chase coming after him with a range of magic something-or-others could get scary ;)

Carrie caught it and it's why she asked if he had a crush on her. D: Chase is definitely worried that he might be getting replaced, but it's important to both of them to preserve their friendship so over the next while, while things are hard, they'll be working at it. LOL, now I'm picturing Chase using Boo-boo Miracle Beam on Dean. Thank you so much!
