Summary: Shera asks Glyne out on a date, while they study.
Notes: High school aged here. My first post here ^^ I look forward to reading a lot of the writing here.
"We should hang out again some time," Shera said as she worked on her part of their assignment.
Glyne only nodded, not looking away from his work. "Ah, I'm sure we'll have other assignments together." Shera giggled and he looked up. "What?"
She shook her head. "I meant for fun. Without the school work involved." She tapped her pen against the desk. "Don't you think it would be nice to go out for lunch?" Sure, she liked spending time with him, but one could only enjoy said time being in a library so much.
Glyne was silent for a moment. "I don't... I have a lot of things that I have to do."
She rolled her eyes. "You do far too much to be healthy. You need to relax more."
Really. Student council president, class representative of his homeroom class, and who knew what else he did around the neighborhood. He never seemed to have any fun or hang out with other teenagers.
She leaned back in her seat. "Besides, haven't you ever thought about it before?"
"Not really..."
Shera tilted her head, not sure of whether she should feel insulted or not. She supposed he was just that clueless. Though she had to admit that she wasn't too surprised. Glyne was like a brick wall.
"Glyne, I'm asking you out on a date."
Glyne paused in what he was doing and stared at her. She smiled. "Don't worry it'll be fun. You'll enjoy it more than you're probably thinking you will."
"Alright, just one... date," Glyne nodded. He didn't even look at her as he said it.
She clapped her hands together. "Great! What do you think about this weekend?"
