Aw, thank you! This feels like the first kind of in-depth and 'proper' writing I've done in ages and I really neglect Ashdown a lot considering he's meant to be the main character. XD I love using his potential for comedy but he's really got a lot going on in that head of his. And of course, Rosalind just seemed the perfect note to end on.

ASHDOWN. I love him. All of him. Even when he's being the most obnoxious arrogant bloody git that you can imagine, I still love him. Especially his reluctant fondness for Isaac, and the way he shuts Verity out (cold, and I want to smack him, but at the same time I'm awed) and the very last pocky seems to sum it all up so perfectly. Beautiful.

Also, I love this sentence: he’s effervescing with them.

Thank you! Ashdown's development is so central to Timeless that I really don't know why I neglect that facet so much. Also: it makes me so happy to hear that you love Ashdown. :D

Haha, I used to struggle with pockies so much (I still do sometimes) but this didn't come out too badly, I hope! Ashdown is lonely without even knowing it, and I really ought to write more about him because I love him so. XD Thanks!

I feel like I've gone back in time. And the little boy reminds me of Eustace from "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" in the Narnia series.

Good job! We should be friends!!

I feel like we have a lot to offer each other as writers.

The changes in Ashdown and how Rosalind doesn't even really register by the end is so neat because it's true in so many cases. Sometimes, you are so used to a person that you don't notice the changes that occur in them over the years.
