It explains a LOT about Joy, this background. Didn't realize it at first. Thank you.

:D This is such a hopeful little scene! I love that Joy was born dancing, and it's especially effective paired with the implication that these parents have probably had more than one stillbirth in the past. Awwww.

May I have that front egg?

Joy turns out to be her parents' only child, unfortunately for them, but it does explain a lot about who she is, I think. Thank you!

Awww, another one of those gorgeous pockies you do! I love how you capture the parent's anxiety, and how they barely dare to hope, only to have such an explosion of happiness at the end.

This phrase made me hold my breath too - "She is born on a sunny November day, remarkably warm for the season. She is born silent, holding her breath, eyes wide open. Her parents and doctors bend over her, breathless-- another one lost?"

This is beautiful and helps to explain why Joy is called Joy. The description in this is great and for a moment, I thought the baby was dead and then the happy ending. Love it.

Geeeze. This was gorgeous. :D And I love how it's a complete story in a hundred words. I fail at pockies. I like words. A lot of them. :(

The idea of Joy having cognizant thought during gestation and birth is endearing. :3 Because really~ It's not that babies can't talk we just don't speak the language. XD

May I claim an egg? :D

I don't know if she had thought, exactly; she was a happy baby, though, and she always, always loved to dance. :D Thank you very much! I'm glad you think my pockies are good.

Last egg is yours! "I like a man who knows things men weren’t meant to know." Seanan McGuire, Maybe It's Crazy
