Never without your love.
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd.
Maybe it's better this way

The music drifted out into the back yard, a distant melody that could be heard just barely under the starry sky. Two figures stood in the cool night air and let the notes wash over them, and calm their frayed nerves.

The first figure stood up from where he had been sitting on the ground. He brushed off his suit, before walking over the other person who was sitting in the gnarled roots of the giant oak tree. The first person offered a hand to the second person to help pull him up.

When they stood side by side the height difference was obvious, the first man was more then a few inches taller then the second. Moonlight shone off their hair, revealing them both to have brown hair. The taller one`s hair was longer, nearly reaching his shoulders while the other`s barely passed their ears.

Within moments the figures were wrapped in each other`s arms, the shorter one had his head resting against the other`s shoulder. They shuffled across the ground in repeating circles, struggling to avoid the oak roots that threatened to send them sprawling over the ground. Its an awkward dance but its all they can have.

Under the oak tree, under the millions of stars and the full moon the pair danced, oblivious to the world around them. In the privacy of the garden, with only the roses to say what they saw, they kissed. It is soft and sensual at first, but quickly turned needy and aggressive, a by-product of not enough time together.

When they broke apart they were breathless, their foreheads rested against each other`s as they tried to regain their breath, their control. The slow dance was halted but they were still in each other`s arms as they reveled in time spent together, away from their friends. Those were the two things that they wanted the most and were the hardest to get.

From the house the music changed, another slow song began and the pair under the oak tree returned to their slow dance. They kissed every once in a while, each trying to remind themselves that the other was still there, still in their arms.

"I love you,"  the silence was broken as the second song wound down, his voice barely louder then a whisper.

"I know… I love you too," the reply came after a moment`s hesitation, in a whisper just like the first.

The back door of the house slammed, causing the couple to jump apart to what they deemed a safe distance. The two figures were dragged back inside, to the party and away from their moment of seclusion.
