Story Arc: Pleasant Surprise
Title: Personal Spa Day
Summary: Alene loves to spoil her children it's one thing that makes going to the summit dinner bearable. Well that's how the Winchester siblings see it.
Notes: I'm really getting into FOTD this is fun. Now in this one I introduced all of Adam's siblings. They'll have their own flavors and adventures in the future, but now here's a little intro. Sorry if things repeat my mind is full of history. Enjoy ^^
The annual summit dinner was tonight much to the chagrin of the Winchester siblings. It was one of the many dinners to happen during the course of the summit. The dinners were to emulate the same meals that bought peace among many clans centuries ago. It didn’t make the event go by any smoother, or make Alene pamper them any less. In fact she pampered them more if that was possible.
Christophe was the first one to receive it. He walked in the house grumbling angrily. “Damn recruits I got half a mind to burn them. Oh how they would burn those egotistical bastards.”
“Welcome home, master Christophe.” Antonio and Orion said.
Christophe flashed a smile, “Hi guys and thanks. Hey guys tell me is my mom home?”
Orion shook his head moving his dark green hair slightly. “No she left for Bello’s house. Something about making sure her grandchildren was ready.”
Christophe laughed, “Of course.”
“However she was here earlier.” Antonio said.
“Aww man I wonder who or what is in my room.” Christophe said shaking his head.
Orion smiled, “You know your mother can’t help it. She has to spoil you this time of year.”
“Every year is her time of year. I guess I shouldn’t complain, but I can’t help it.” Christophe said.
“It’s the stress of the day talking. You’ll feel better once you relax. Alene has the masseuse waiting in your room along with the tailor, stylist and a shadow demon who specializes in plants.” Orion said.
Christophe chuckled, “Hard to stay mad after hearing that. Alright I’ll go and try not to make a fuss this year. Well too much of a fuss.”
Orion and Antonio smiled. “Of course,”
Christophe waved on the way to the staircase. Antonio turned to Orion. “Aren’t you going to follow him and see how he’s doing? Alene will be upset if you don’t.”
Orion smiled, “I will in a little bit. Chris has expressed his need for space even if I do worry. I know Alene will be upset, but I do have to respect Chris’ wishes.”
Antonio nodded, “That’s true. I find it amusing how the same Chris who used to cry when you left to fetch his snack during his nap, now wants his space.”
Orion laughed, “Yes, I remember that. I’m amazed how time files. It doesn’t feel like a hundred years has passed.”
“It doesn’t, but that’s the effect happiness has on time.” Antonio said.
Orion nodded, “Too true.”
The door opened before Antonio could start his statement. Enzi walked in singing along to a song on his VINE the demon equivalent to Apple.
“I’m gonna wash those tears away. I’ll make sure you smile every day.” Enzi sang dancing in the foyer.
“Welcome home master Enzi.” Antonio and Orion said.
Enzi pulled his ear buds out flashing a smile. “Hey guys, how are you? Sorry about the singing. It’s from a new artist. I don’t know his name, but my agent told me to remember it.”
Antonio waved it away. “It’s no problem. I’m glad you enjoy it.”
Orion nodded in agreement. “It is. We’re fine Enzi how are you?”
“Great I’m not looking forward to this dinner, but other than that I’m fine.” Enzi said smiling.
“That sound wonderful Enzi. Your mother wanted us to tell you that the vocal coach, stylist, tailor, and masseuse is waiting for you. She also had some drinks imported from Gair to help with your voice.” Antonio said.
Enzi chuckled, “I told mom I was taking care of my voice. Can’t be helped I guess.” He shrugged before stretching slightly. “Hey is Ben back from vacation?”
Antonio nodded, “Yes, he’s in the kitchen talking to Maria and Lily.”
Enzi smiled, “Great I can’t wait to see him again. It’s been too long. Maybe I can convince Ben to get a massage.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Orion said.
Enzi nodded, “Yep a plan I like. Well I hope you guys recognize me next time you see me.”
Orion and Antonio laughed.
“I think we’ll be able to.” Orion said.
Enzi laughed waving as he walked over to the kitchen. Benjamin is Enzi’s guardian, but watched the other children with Antonio and Orion. No one knew the full situation before he started working with Bernard. No one has asked, but they’re sure Ben would tell one day.
Orion smiled, “At this rate everyone will be at home at the same time.”
“It has been a while since that’s happened.” Antonio said.
Orion opened his mouth when the door opened again. Kia twirled in landing on her hands. She flipped back to her with a smile, “Hi guys!”
“Welcome home Miss Kia.” Antonio and Orion said.
Kia giggled, “Aww guys you know you don’t have to call me that. Kia is fine.” She looked around, “Hey where’s mom?”
“She’s at Bello’s place getting her grandchildren ready.” Orion said.
Kia laughed, “Mom is going to spoil those kids rotten. It’s bad enough that we do it daily.”
“Spoiling your nieces and nephews is something unavoidable. I enjoy it immensely.” Antonio said.
Orion nodded, “I do too.”
“Bell’s expression is the best when we do it.” Kia said smiling. She stretched grabbing her leg and pulling it towards her shoulder before letting it drop. She let out a satisfied breath before turning to Antonio and Orion.
“So what does mom have set up for me?” Kia asked.
“The tailor, stylist, masseuse and chiropractor are waiting for your arrival.” Antonio said.
“Cool might as well milk this while I can. Ooo before I go is Ava here? I hope I didn’t miss her again.” Kia said.
“She’s in the kitchen chatting with Claire, Amelia, and Castor.” Orion said.
“Awesome! I haven’t seen her since my last tour ended. I’m gonna go see her then go to my little spa.” Kia said giggling.
Antonio smiled, “Sounds nice.”
“Have fun.” Orion said smiling.
Kia waved before tumbling into the kitchen. Antonio and Orion shared chuckle. It was amazing how Ava kept up with Kia when she discovered tumbling. Bernard and Alene could barely follow her. At least they had Ava to help catch Kia.
“Have you checked out Kia’s new show?” Orion asked.
Antonio nodded, “I have she’s very amazing. Her partner, Naota, compliments her very well.”
“I wonder how much of their act is play and how much is an act.” Orion said smirking.
Antonio chuckled, “Sounds like you’ve been talking with Castor, Claire, and Ben again.”
Orion shrugged with a mischievous look, “Maybe,”
The door opened again as Antonio laughed.
“Someone help me for I’m going to kill all my lab assistants.” Angelique said walking inside foyer.
“Welcome home Miss Angelique.” Antonio and Orion said.
Angelique scrunched her nose in distaste. “Guys don’t call me that. Call me Miss Angel if you must, but don’t use my full name. You’ll make me think I’ve gotten in trouble.”
“Have you been naughty Angel?” Orion asked.
Angelique giggled, “If I have will you tell anyone?”
“Of course not you have my word.” Orion said. Antonio sat back stifling his laughter.
Angelique laughed, “I’m glad I do. Let me guess mom was here, but now she’s at Bell’s place.”
“Yes that’s correct.” Antonio said.
“How did you know?” Orion asked.
Angelique held up her phone. “Chris and Zi sent me a text about it. So tell me what’s in my little spa?”
“Tailor, masseuse, stylist, and a fire demon who can scrub the chemicals off your skin apparently.” Orion said.
“I told mom nothing landed on me. Oh well I’ll take it. Maybe I can have a little fun with this. Hey is Claire here?” Angelique asked.
Antonio nodded, “Yes she’s here.”
Angelique squealed in excitement, “Great! Now I’m really going to have fun. When you guys see me I’ll be a new person.”
Orion laughed, “I want to see that.”
“I want to witness that as well.” Antonio said.
Angelique giggled, “You guys are funny. I’ll be back to dazzle you later.”
“We’ll be waiting.” Orion said as Antonio nodded in agreement. Angelique flashed another smile before walking towards the kitchen. Between Alene, her grandmother Bella, and Claire there was no mistake where Angelique received her quirks from.
“I am interested in seeing how Alene is going to top the wardrobe this year.” Antonio said.
“Me too everyone has been in a buzz about it for a while. I think she’s still competing against Kisa.” Orion said.
“That rivalry will never end. It’s a wonder how Adam and Issac became friends during their many matches.” Antonio said.
Orion nodded, “I know, but it shows how strong their friendship is. That’s good.”
“It is.” Antonio agreed as the door opened again. They turned to greet Michelle who dragged herself in the foyer.
“Hi guys.” Michelle said with a tired smile.
“Welcome home Miss Michelle. What’s wrong?” Antonio and Orion asked.
“I’m working on a case involving a dispute over the wedding contract a couple signed. It clearly states that you can’t break it or punishment will be swift. Do they care? Hell no, ugh I’m so tired. I’m a damn demon and I’m tired.” Michelle sighed deeply shaking her head. She lifted up straightening her back, combing the tangles out with her claws.
“Mom is at Bello’s right?”
“Yes,” Antonio said.
“What’s in my room?”
“Tailor, masseuse, stylist, and a water sprite that specializes in therapeutic singing.” Orion said.
Michelle nodded, “Sounds good for once I welcome this. Tell Amelia to meet me and we can make it a party.”
Orion grinned, “Will do.”
Michelle smiled, “Thanks guys.” She waved before taking the arduous task of going to the staircase. Amelia continued to be her ray of light and partner in crime. Antonio can think back to all the pay back pranks on Chris and Angel.
Antonio cast a worried look to Orion. “Amelia and I have been worried about Michelle. I don’t think she enjoys being an attorney like she used to.”
“I’ve noticed that, but how can we convince her to switch careers. You know Michi the minute she starts something she won’t stop until it’s finished.” Orion said.
“I know, but I can’t stop myself from worrying. I’m sure it will pass and Michelle will find something she enjoys.” Antonio said.
Orion nodded, “I know that will happen soon.”
“Yes.” Antonio agreed. The door helped him push his thoughts in the back of his mind. They looked over smiling as Adam walked through the door growling in his phone.
“Damn it Tabitha if I hear one more excuse from them I’m going to find their adult collection and burn it to the ground. I don’t care if they’re busy I’m busy too. What do they have to say?” Adam said stopping in the foyer. Antonio and Orion waited to see if it would be good or bad news. They knew it was bad when Adam growled low.
“You tell them that if they don’t bring their asses in by next week they can kiss their collection good bye. Not to mention their jobs. I need those letters by next week or I’ll never hear the end of it. Now if they don’t want me to send them to Albert, our friendly neighborhood necromancer, they’ll shape up.” Adam growled. He took a breath his voice turning back to normal. “Now that’s over I can’t wait to see you Tabitha. I can’t wait to dance with you too. I know you’re going to look lovely in your dress. I can’t wait to see it. Ok I’ll see you soon. Bye.”
Adam sighed closing his phone. “I swear Victor and Noelle are going to make me pull my hair out.” He turned to Antonio and Orion with a smile. “Hey guys,”
“Hi, how are you?” Antonio asked.
“Besides wanting to kill my co workers I’m fine. How are you guys?” Adam asked.
“Good.” Antonio said.
“Never better,” Orion said.
Adam smiled, “I’m glad you guys are doing good. I got a text from Angel that mom is at Bell’s so that gives us a few hours before she plays matchmaker.” He looked over at Antonio and Orion who tried to hold back their grins.
Adam held up his hands in defense. “I love my mom I do. It’s just when she plays matchmaker I always end up with someone outside my type.”
“Maybe she’ll find someone for you today.” Orion said.
Antonio nodded, “It’s bound to happen.”
Adam nodded playing with his pendant, “That’s true it can. I guess all we can do is see. So the standard is in my room?”
Orion nodded, “Tailor, stylist, masseuse, and a cat demon who’s a master at making tea. I heard it’s supposed to relax you.”
“Which is something I need right now. I’ll have to get mom something nice for that. Hey Antonio and Orion we can catch up and get massages too.” Adam said.
“Alene did say we had access to everything.” Antonio said.
Orion smiled, “Why not sounds like something we need.”
“Great let’s go. I can’t wait to see everyone.” Adam said walking over to the staircase.
Antonio and Orion followed looking forward Alene’s new setup. Alene may spoil her children and grandchildren, but she always had their well being in mind.
