Awww, ickle!Isaac! I can see where this would totally cause the family to fall apart but, in a way, I can't blame the boys for wanting to see :( What did Jack do? As sad as this is, it's nice to see some more of how Isaac ended up where he did!

Jack killed someone... that's about as far as I've managed to figure it out. It leads to a lot of disasters for the Prowse clan.

Thanks!

D: omg, those kids are so young to see something like that--especially the toddler. Well-written.

It's a pretty grim time for the family, though the toddler doesn't remember it... which is good I guess?

Thanks. :)

The kids really don't understand that this is not something anyone wants to see and that Jack probably wouldn't have wanted to see his children watching him being hanged. Poor Tilly :(

Tilly's story is probably the worst out of everyone I've ever written. I feel kind of bad for the crap I put her through...

Poor kids :( And poor Tilly who just seems to have lost all control.

I like the whole obstinate refusal to understand. I suppose whether they went or not they'd wonder later if it was the right choice.

Poor Isaac. He might not remember it in detail, but I bet he remembers the way his mother was afraid. That kind of thing leaves a mark on a kid whether you remember it or not. Definitely a very painful read.
