I love this. Siobhan clearly loves Jacob (I love how she calls him Cobby) and is pained to see him growing up and not needing her.

Yeah, I've never explored their relationship beyond these last three days so it's been nice. :) Thanks!

I couldn't go all serious on these two for the whole way through. XD They're too much fun!

Even back then, mothers didn't approve of tattoos. Nothing has changed!

Siobhan's and Jacob's reactions to one another, the way they are mother and son but don't have a way to really keep up with each other, is really interesting. They meet and then they have to catch up and so he only finds out much later that he has a stepfather, though Siobhan doesn't seem all that happy about her marriage. She certainly isn't in love with Mr. Conroy.

Yeah, they have no way of contacting each other and once he heads over to the Caribbean I have a feeling he doesn't see her again. Thanks!

I love the end and how all the teary, huggy reunion business can be dropped over the tattoo ;)

AHAHAHAHAHAHA the end omg ahahahahaaaa. Jacob is such a mother's boy; it's adorable and just like him, too. I love Siobhan's bittersweet recognition that her son is a man, now, and the eeeeend ahahahahaha.

I've always envisioned the fearsome Captain Jacob as being a total mummy's boy. :D Thanks!
