the "slip into something more comfortable" one was sexy and awesome and then Lyssa says the wrong way and oh man, that was great. I think it's one of my favorite sections ♥

I also like Kairn's reluctance to patch Lyssa up (even though it seems like he's doing okay at it). I wonder if that's weird for Lyssa and reminds her of Rune at all :P

Notch on the bedpost = LOL MARA.

But OMG, both In Your Arms and Kiss & Make Up. We hadn't seen that before, right?? I'm wondering what the heck happened between those two to change Kairn's mind... And the end, I'm intrigued! I think I had this idea that Lyssa and Rune had a relatively undramatic reconciliation (where did thia idea come from??)...but clearly, that was wrong, and that delights me XD Yes, cookie crumbs of some of these, please!

PS: Is who Lyssa killed in Tangled Up in You important?

Thank you! :)

'tangled up'/'slip into something more comfortable' are meant to be part of what's slotted for one of my brownies, so I should get back to that eventually (as to the PS, I don't think so, but I'll need to figure that out)

I think Kairn's reluctant about most things ;) But yeah, patching Lyssa up probably has its own awkward implications for both of them.

And 'in your arms' and 'kiss & make up' were the big spoilery ones I mentioned, so they will have to be revisited. (and I want to see if anyone does guess about what happens between the two scenes)I think in the end, Rune and Lyssa settle things fairly peacefully, but there's a good bit of drama before that. I still kind of need to settle on the details though. Kairn's definitely not happy about being the 2nd choice though.

Ahh, what a great binge! I loved the very beginning especially, because I haven't seen much of early Kairn and Lyssa. The description in the "between the sheets" part of the chain was wonderful and the "sleeping besides you" one made me nearly die of how sweet it was, and the glimpse of innocence we see in Lyssa. Not the standard. XD

By the way, I LOVE how shippable your characters are. All of them. Well, nearly all. XD

Thanks! :)

I actually have their first meeting (in the main canon index - the chunk starting with Retreat) but that's kind of it for really early Kairn & Lyssa. I've been working a bit more on the following years - and I do intend to have a long piece for the part where she initially helps him into hiding (and the near miss of tangled/something more comfortable comes into play)

between the sheets was the hardest part, because I've already visited Kairn & Lyssa's first time twice (once as chopped nuts and again when I gave in and made them canon) And Lyssa does have her moments :)

I have way too much fun shipping my own characters, I swear some of the non-canon pairings have become as dear to me as the canon ones!

Slip into Something More Comfortable and In Your Arms were very painful to read, especially the second one because no matter how much Lyssa and Kairn do love each other, I can see him having doubts from time to time, wondering if she isn't just sticking with him until she can mend things with Rune.

This really helped me to see them as a couple and make me think that in a way, I'd be a tiny bit indifferent about whether she ends up with Rune or Kairn but then if I think about Lyssa and Rune again, my brain goes, "how can you even compare that?"

I think the snippets work really well to illustrate how they slowly progress in their relationship.

Now, where's the Reida & Kairn binge? Or at least Ski and Tristan?

Thanks! :)

I hurts doing that to Kairn (and this is the guy I torture for fun!) but I think honestly no matter how she feels about Kairn, Lyssa never would be over Rune and as soon as he is actually back in the picture...well, it's a mess

if I think about Lyssa and Rune again, my brain goes, "how can you even compare that?" - That just makes me so ridiculously happy! Like I've really succeeded.

I was thinking as I finished this that I should do Kairn & Reida binge too (and maybe Kairn & Sethan?) Oh the spoilers if I do Ski & Tristan... I just might have to go for it.

You always say you don't write enough Ski and Tristan and that would be a good opportunity to show them as a couple throughout the story? Agree with me there, I know you want to.

And I wouldn't complain about Sethan & Kairn either.

lol I do want to. I actually started scoping out prompt lists just now, but nothing's biting yet. The hard part is that later Ski gets all tangled up in court and politics and that's just so hard to figure out so I've kind of stayed away from her.

Sethan & Kairn might be hard just because it would get redundant, I've already spent so much time on them.

ah, but they both end up where they're supposed to (yet another item on the todo list of brownies - the after story adventures of Sethan & Kairn) I think relationships that are flawed but still work somehow are my favorite thing to write.

thanks! :)
