Oh Peter. You're doomed.

One thing about this did make me curious. Are the Blazes really that disliked in their city? It seems to me that they'd be taken down a lot faster and easier if they were hated as well as feared. Or at the very least there would be a lot more turncoats. The loyalty of their people speaks for a lot more liking than hatred.

Or maybe that's just Lancaster and de Luca talking. Still love Lancaster, incidentally. He's awesome.

Oh no, the Blazes are normally very well liked in their city. Because they love New Palermo so much, they spend a great deal of time, effort, and money making it a better city in terms of building projects, tourist attractions, and such. In this case the media is having a field day with this Pelz incident, and all the nice innocent people that don't normally deal with the Blazes except through their city works don't like to be reminded of what the mafia really does. Also, de Luca's blown up the effects in his head, but I hoped to get across that Firebird really isn't that concerned.

Lancaster's quickly become one of my favorite characters to write because he's actually a good guy.

Thanks for reading!

Firebird comes off as bored, annoyed, or mildly amused at best. I didn't think she was worried about de Luca at all.

Thanks! That makes a lot more sense. Out of sight out of mind, after all.

He thinks he has won but I think De Luca is in for one hell of a shock. I love how Firebird is waiting until she springs.

Firebird's like a cat playing with a particularly dumb mouse. She's going to draw this out just because she gets amusement from watching Peter be so damn stupid. XD Thanks for reading!

I do love this arc, and I have to second the Lancaster love. Nice move, Peter, but I wouldn't get too cocky. XD

Lancaster is a character that I'm always trying to figure out how to bring in more but can never quite get it right. He'll play a pretty big role in this arc though, so he'll come around a bit more! :D Thanks for reading!

When I saw Lancaster in the list of characters I was like, WOO! He only has a cameo but still. He is the only one that could possibly take on Nicky Nails as my New Palermo favourite. XDD

Poor, poor Peter. I would kind of respect him for what he's trying to do if it wasn't for the fact he's such a dick about it! And his reasons for doing so don't seem sound... glory-seeker much?

Anyway, nice one! :D

Peter's a bad guy in good guy clothing. He only chose to be a crime-fighting public attorney because that was the quickest way to make himself a name before becoming a politician.

And I promise Lancaster is going to be popping his head in a lot more in the near future of this arc! Nicky too, actually. ;)

Thanks for reading!

Oh Peter, you're going down and it's so obvious right from the first segment, you dick. I love the contrast between Peter thinking what a great job he's doing and Firebird's amused, vague interest.

Thanks much! Peter's a bit delusional to think he's on Firebird's level, but he's not completely powerless. That's what keep Firebird interested. XD
