Summer is always a total sweetheart. Any prickliness or bitchiness is usually people misunderstanding her, catching her on a bad day, or both. *ruffles her* I wanted to explore their relationship a little bit more, and I'm glad the essential sweetness came across.

Thank you!

The bit about rules is such a gutpunch. I know EXACTLY what she means, and while people don't come with a rulebook it feels like they do and nobody will let you see.

Love the part where she offers her parents to Gina. She's got a point, too. I just love her overall and how she's so cheery and perky and it's so refreshingly unlike pro-media autistics (which in my experience tend toward the gratingly WRONG end of the scale). Summer rings far truer to my own self and experiences.

I'm lucky in that I know a bunch of people who are on the spectrum. I can crib from real life! XD Summer is all her own self, though. I'm glad she comes across as real to you.

The rulebook thing comes from something one of my friends on the spectrum said to me: "It's like everyone else got handed a rulebook at birth for social interaction, and somehow there weren't enough copies to go around, and nobody will share." I've tried to incorporate that into Summer's character.

Thank you very, very much!

"You know if you... if your parents don't want you anymore you can share ours. Mama and Papa love you."

Their friendship and how Summer turns to Gina for advice in the second part is so sweet and the conversation feels very real to me.

Thank you very much! Summer would totally offer her parents to people she feels deserve them, and Gina definitely counts.

I've never read any pieces about Gina and Summer's sisterly relationship before and I have to say I really really love it. They're just about perfect advice-buddies for each other-- with Summer spotting the things others don't and Gina always so calm and reassuring and lovely.

And I love the part about Gina saying "well" to give herself a bit of time to think... I do that. XDD

That would be because I hadn't written any of it before. I realized I hadn't really explored some of the relationships between my eight mains, so I'm trying to remedy that now.

Glad you liked this so much, and that it felt so real! Thank you!

This is very sweet, how Gina and Summer are just so honest with each other. I like how the first section leads into the second, with Gina and Summer becoming each other's confidants.

They're not very close, actually, but I think that's more due to distance and age-differences. Gina does really like Summer, and Summer frankly adores Gina. They've just never had the time or the opportunity to get close. This is a small attempt at remedying that.

Thank you very much!
