oh, man, so been there with the bad cat. I feel your pain, Carrie! I also love her grandfather, and her relationship with him seems so warm and friendly. Good job.

My cats do that all the time, too. :( I like writing Carrie and Richard together. I figure she ought to have one grandparent that doesn't stress her out and I have no idea what her relationship with Eva's parents is like. Thank you so much!

Richard's turned out to be surprisingly sympathetic! I like writing him a lot and it does mean a lot to Carrie that she has his support. I keep wanting to try a tablet but haven't had the chance yet, though I have heard they can be temperamental. Thank you! :D

I love these future Carrie pieces-- it's like watching a child grow up, haha! "Oh, she's getting so big! It seems like only yesterday she was sketching things with her crayons..."

The warmth between her and her grandfather is also lovely. I think it's really cute that he called her "granddaughter". XD

RIGHT? This is WEIRD for me to think about, man. I can picture her as late teens easier than I can Chase, though...that kid will never grow up, I swear.

I love her relationship with Richard a lot and I'm glad you agree with me. His dialogue was fun, particularly there :D Thank you!

that's really sweet of her Grandpa, being so supportive of her, and yay Carrie for sticking with her dreams! :)

I loved the line She mentally filed it away with the other uncomfortable things people had told her about the world-things she tried to disregard if possible. I think we all try to do that a bit when we're her age.

Carrie's inherited stubbornness from Eva, she couldn't do anything else. It means a lot to her that Richard has her back, though.

I'm glad you liked that line! It was one of my personal favorites and a sentiment I mostly associate with Carrie for this story. :D Thank you!

I love the relationship between Carrie and her grandfather, and I like her mental description of him. It's nice to see a man as busy as he seems still takes time out to forge those relationships, even if he can't always be there for some things.

Thank you very much! I had fun writing this and I like Richard a lot more than I expected to. I think he values Carrie more and more as she gets older (especially after his wife dies).
