This is so powerful. I didn't have a clue that Sage went through all of this! Oh, poor girl. D: And I thought I was cruel to my characters. The first pockies just made me want to wrap her up in a blanket and take her far away. I'm glad she ends up happy but she goes through so much crap!

The final line is especially emotive. ;-; Really good job!

Sage does go through a lot of crap and it took me almost two weeks to write this because I always feel so darn bad about doing it to her D: But oh well. Thanks so much for the compliments! I tried to make it hit hard without being too over the top. She does end up happy, but it takes far longer than it should.

Thanks on the last line - it stumped me for a while until I could get my point across.

Oh, man. That poor girl. She just went through so much. I think, in a way, that it's that first memory that hurts the most, because she's only four, and yet she already knows that there's no point in arguing. Poor thing. Great job.

She really does! I am very, very mean to her. Yeah, she learns early on that her mom's pretty much just a jerk and there's no point in doing anything but what she says. Writing that one really got to me - I've written things revolving around the later stuff, but never that. Thank you and thanks for reading!
