“You know, if we changed our story a bit, we could totally sound like we were in some trashy romance novel.”
Kurt didn’t even look up from the computer screen. This was the reason he loved her. “I met you in a gay club, and thought you were a guy in drag at first. If that isn’t the beginning of some sort of trashy book, I don’t know what is.”
Thinking that over, Chloe frowned at the ceiling from where she lay on the bed. “Okay, that’s a good point, but seriously. Singer-slash-idol. Fireman. All we need is a situation where you rescue me from burning to death, and I can tell you how thankful I am through sex! I can give you a book summary right now, if you want.”
“Would you really be focused on sex after someone rescued you from a burning building? I mean, wouldn’t you be more focused on the fact that all of your world possessions just disappeared... assuming this was your apartment building, at least?”
“Well. Maybe. But that isn’t as romantic!” She answered, a hint of whine in her voice as she climbed off of the bed.
He laughed as he turned away from the computer desk. “Paying me back in sex for saving your life, even though I’m a complete stranger at this point is romantic?”
“Of course it is!” Settling in his lap, Chloe nuzzled against his neck. “It’s us. Sure, it would start off as just sex, but once we took a break and started talking, we’d fall in love. See? Romantic as can be.”
Arms wrapping around her waist, Kurt kissed her before he answered. “Well. I’ll admit, that sounds better than me thinking you’re a dude for the first few minutes of our life together.”
