This can’t be happening. It has to be some sort of mistake.
Anita looked at the plastic wand she was holding in disbelief.
Pink. The strip was pink.
But it wasn’t a mistake. And deep down inside, Anita knew it wasn’t.
The panic she’d been feeling in the last two weeks finally bubbled up to the surface, threatening to choke her. She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t think.
What was she going to do now?
