Jesse rolled his eyes one last time before he put his noise canceling headphones in place. Immediately, his family’s jabber went away, and he felt the beginnings of a headache begin to fade. Jesus, just because Eliana was going away to college, people were freaking out and acting like she won the fucking Nobel Prize.
Okay, yeah, it’s fucking great that she ended up a creative genius, or whatever, and not completely insane like they thought she might when she was younger. But did they care that he had won the audition to get the bassist spot in that band? Noooo....
Apparently, being a non-queer bassist in a queercore band just wasn’t as awesome as Eliana getting accepted into some fancy ass art school.
