You can do it, Gail! And you do, very, very well! I like the emotion that's lurking underneath this whole thing :)

Thank you! Yeah, she's terrified, but damned if that's going to keep her from being awesome.

I second what Miyabi said about the language. It works really well. Also, don't worry, Gail. You do an amazing job!

Gail isn't too poetic, so I wanted to keep things straightforward. I'm glad that worked. Thank you for your compliments!

Thirty-seven hours... ouch. Gail is right to be a little shaken, but I adore the unwritten connotations about her love for her child. Gail is such an awesomely strong maternal figure and a little fic of her just after the birth is very fitting.

Well, most of that was minor contractions, the kind that make you go, "Oh, I'm going into labor!" rather than "AUGH GET THIS THING OUT OF ME NOW." But yeah, still a long labor.

I'm glad that this worked so well for you! You basically outlined everything I was trying to do, and I'm so pleased that it worked. Thanks for reading!

Like I said above, it was mostly minor contractions, but it was still pretty full of suck. But now she has her baby girl, and she never has to go through that nonsense again because Summer was a C-section, and God help anyone who tries to hurt her kid.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
