I find that I'm learning a lot more about Ashdown from everyone around him than from the man himself, and I like that. There are so many different takes on him. And yes, I want to see some of this epic rivalry! More pirates in general is good too. I like these guys.

All the characters have a slightly different opinion on Ashdown to each other, which makes interactions interesting to write. The pirates are cool, unfortunately they play a fairly small part in the plot. Thanks!

Ooh, I'm glad Liddy got out! I thought it might be a rescue party but couldn't quite tell until Rosy's appearance. This rivalry sounds rather epic indeed and I can't wait to see more of it! Nicely written :)

Thank you very much! Liddy gets out this time, but it isn't the first time in the story that Ashdown uses her to try and manipulate Captain Jacob. Fortunately, she quite enjoys the adventure that follows.

It's always your vivid descriptions that get me the most. You have this knack for always describing the exact look and feel of something.

The more I'm learning about Ashdown the more I'm getting this whole love/hate vibe from him. Can't wait to see where this is going!

Yeah, he's pretty much an antihero, which is my favourite type of main character. Thanks for reading!

I don't post my pieces up in any chronological order which is probably a little confusing, especially as it involves time travel! XD

That does sound like an epic rivalry. I look forward to reading about it. I love the last line... actually I love a lot of the lines but the last one is probably my favourite.

The end made me lol heartily. I love Liddy's relationship with Rosy Joe, and I love her rather blase acceptance of being arrested and used against her father because hey, he'll come and get her soon.

...do Captain Graham and company ever end up in the future? Because that would be kind of awesome. I'd love to see Liddy take on Newson.

Oh yes they certainly do! :D And they don't make it easy for Newson. Thanks for reading!
