The bulb goes out in the middle of the night, plunging her room into pitch black. It’s silent, but she’s hearing things, so she goes straight for the intercom. “Alec!”
He’s there in seconds, with a spare bulb, a hug and a smile. He lets himself in, steps onto the end of her bed and stretches up to unscrew the bulb, replacing it swiftly, climbing down and flicking on the light.
As light floods the room, Danni can’t help but think of it as a metaphor for how Alec brings light to her life. All she says is, “Thank you.”

She’s but a broken body on the ground now, having launched herself from the top of the building. What did she have left? Nothing. Nothing but pain, hurt and an aching loneliness deep inside of her that won’t go away. Won’t ever go away.
In her last seconds of consciousness - pain so extreme she wants to die. Knows she will soon - she looks up and her eyes land on the redhead above her.
Lisa reaches down, takes Jesse’s hand in hers and helps her to stand up. Then she can fly away, her hand held by the woman she loves.

Pairings/Characters: Lisa/Danni
The first time they argue after The Betrayal, they shout. The second time, Danni hits Lisa. The third time, Lisa dodges and hits back. The fourth time, Danni throws her against the wall and pins her with a knee between her thighs. Breathing heavily on each other’s faces, it’s all Danni can do not to hit her again.
The fifth time, sex is already expected. When Danni hits and she hits back, it’s foreplay. It’s pure hatred and blood pounding in veins and pouring from lips when they bite and tear at each other.
It’s all the relationship that remains.

Pairings/Characters: Danni, Danni’s dad (Jay).
There’s no strength in his hand. He’s sprawled across the sofa and he’s dying - she knows that. This is the last time he’ll look up and she’ll look back. For the rest of her life, all she’ll have is a memory.
He squeezes her hand but it barely feels like a squeeze, such a difference from the strong hands that used to lift her onto his shoulders and carry her through the Sphere.
“I love you dad,” she whispers.
“I love you too,” he replies. And she knows it’ll be the last time she hears those words in his voice.

“I don’t trust him!” Danni shouts.
Ben glares at her. “Danni, he saved your life. He’s more on our side than anyone at the moment. Can’t you give the guy a chance?”
“Lisa saved my life too!” Danni yells. “Do you see me trusting her any time soon?”
“That’s different. Chris has proved himself.”
“And Lisa didn’t? I’ve learned from my mistakes Ben! I’m not going to trust someone like that again!”
Ben grabs her shoulders. “What about me?” he says. “Do you trust me?”
She stares up at him. “I don’t trust anyone,” she lies.
Ben just walks away.
