Thank you! The lower levels are definitely paticularly apocaltypic, but none of the wealthy folk living up in the towers know anything about that.

Oh, wow, I am super impressed by the description in this. I really enjoyed this line in particular: "keep on living like there was battery acid in her blood" but there were too many good phrases for me to pick out more than just the one. I really like Pia, too, and I hope she crosses paths with Ashdown and the others soon, because that can only end in awesome.

She certainly does cross their paths, and the scene she first does is one of my favourites. 8) If the Prompt Gods are favourable, maybe I'll be able to rewrite it and stick it up sometime.

I like this! And I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when she gets tangled up with the others now.

You paint a really nice picture of the lower levels with this piece. It seems dismal, but Pia's still thriving, and it's obvious she loves racing even if she's not the best yet. I'm sure she'll be amazing with practice.

Nearly stepping on a flat, messy corpse was not exactly contact.

Yeaaaaaaah not really. :/

Yeah, the lower levels are so abysmal it's like they're living in a nuclear fallout zone... despite the high mortality rate of life down there, though, Pia's still doing OK, mostly thanks to Simmins. 8)
