Wow. You really described the battle and Tristan's determination so well! How did he hurt his stomach?

Thanks :)

I really need to get around to writing the battle. It's a MAJOR plot point I've been procrastinating forever. He takes a few demon claws across the front. It should have killed him.

Ooh, dying thoughts. They're very evocative.

Was he saved in the end, or did he actually die?

Thanks :)

He does survive in the end. Sethan comes along to scrape him off the field.

Aww, poor Tristan. Nice moment where he's trying to bring the temple to himself without understanding it, though I kind of wonder what he would have achieved if he'd succeded :)

Thanks! :)

What success he did have did manage to keep him alive at least. I suppose it might have been a little messy if he was completely in the temple, since it was also busy saving Kairn and Sham.

Ooh. Is this another instance of Tristan being in two places at once? This is so horribly disorienting, and a horrible situation for him. I hope someone will help him soon! That pain in his stomach does not sound good.

Yes, it's sort of a combined effort between Tristan (who doesn't know he's doing it) and the Temple. As Sethan will point out when he meets him the next morning, there's a gaping hole in his gut. Someday I will get around to the battle and exactly how he got it.

lol I read this like five times over. For 450 words there's a lot going on! And all I can think of to say is that I like it! You haven't done this scene from Sethan's POV yet, have you? I'm curious how they get him off the field in one piece...

Thanks! :)

I actually introduced Sethan with the morning after scene (http://community.livejournal.com/runaway_tales/15851.html) - yeeeah, he's come a long way.... Basically he comes looking to make sure Sham got away and stumbles across him and feeds him enough magic to survive being hauled away.
