Awww, they're cute together. Seems like a budding friendship over woodworking! Also, I like Chase's overreaction to the new teacher and Laura talking him down. Nice job.

Thank you! We love working with these two and also Carrie. One thing I know for sure came of the little trip to the dragon world (good lord that story needs a better name in the WORST way) was Chase ending up even more resistant to change than before and clinging to the familiar, so I'd like to see him work through some of that as this project goes.

Aww, this is sweet. I'm used to seeing the others looking out for Chase. It's nice to see him pass that on to someone else.

Dean's embarrassed shyness is so sweet, and Chase going from disinterested to helpful was a nice build-up. This is post-DW, I'm guessing? I liked the opening sentence, really grabbing and well-written.

It is post-DW, yes. Chase and Dean are sixteen and Carrie's a month shy of sixteen, which puts this a bit more than four years post-story. I'm so glad you liked it and that Chase's slow interest worked well. Sometimes it's difficult to get him to interact with other people (but Casey and I pretty much feel that he and Dean were meant to be buds, so).
