Awwwwww! This is quite adorable! I felt bad for both Case and Sam, but I LOVED the description of the connection between Cat and Case and how intimate just a simple gesture is.

*curtsies* Thank you! (Case and Sam, well -- Sam will never admit it to himself, but the way his mind works he basically needs someone to worry about, and taking care of Case and Cat at least gives him that; and Case eventually gets a handle on everything; er, if that helps?) And I'm glad you liked that bit, too -- I was trying to make it all but standalone (although there are jokes that would make no sense if one doesn't know, for example, that Sam's main thing is poison, but I digress) so I tried to explain that all at once and I was afraid it was going to be too clunky, so... Er. What I mean is basically what I said first: thank you very, very much!

Okay, this is really funny at the beginning and end and somewhat eerie in the middle. I love the bit where Case zones out and you get chills up and down your spine, and then it snaps back to funny and we start talking about black rocks and little trees. Great job.

It's a good thing I decided Madison had a strawberry habit going on, then, otherwise it would have been funny straight through, and we can't have that :D (Well, broccoli does look like trees, and I don't think it exists in Cat's part of the world...) Thanks!~
