In some ways, she does have a point, mostly the wanting to practice control over situations where she knows she's vulnerable. Underage drinking is just not a solid plan, though, and Josh knows that and also that she only wants to do it to try to relieve some of her depression.

I'm with Josh; that does not sound like the best idea in the world, even if she did invoke the sacred reason "FOR SCIENCE." I take it he has ways of knowing if she tries to sneak off and do it on her own? Because that would be a worse idea. Love the sibling interaction here.

One of Josh's powers is tracking, and the twins are very much in tune with each other, so yes, he would know if she were trying to do something stupid (which is the reason Tom didn't do as much damage as he could have). She won't, though.

FOR SCIENCE! (Mariah gets her first kiss from Sam by claiming Science, so she knows its powers well.)

Just want to add that yes, Mariah might be impulsive (far more impulsive than Josh), but she also knows that Josh would know practically the instant the thought crossed her mind. She's really just frustrated with finding yet another thing she can't control in her life because of her powers.

She totally invokes FOR SCIENCE to get Sam to kiss her :D *proud of that moment*

Haha, well, Mariah can often times talk Josh into the not-brightest things and I'm sure 'for science' has worked with him in the past :P Just not this time!
