Once again, love your smooth description. I'm not sure I know what they're talking about at the end, though... in any case Kairn is really refreshing. It's nice to see his different attitudes towards Sethan, especially when Reida isn't around making him all blush and mush. And Sethan gives me goosebumps!

Thank you! :)

The years have grown Kairn at least a bit of a backbone, I suppose (not that Reida couldn't still scare him right back into mush). The part you aren't sure about - what Sethan did that they are fighting about or the mention of the boy? The former was in the two pieces referenced in the header - Sethan sucked the life out of someone and used him as plantfood after the voice in his head got a little too worked up. The latter was intentionally vague, not because I wanted to confuse anyone, but because Sethan doesn't want to explain yet to Kairn what Shamino is for.

Oh okay, that clears it up--I was thinking we were supposed to know what the voice (isn't she a goddess?) wanted Shamino for already. I'm gonna have to read those pieces in the header!

Yes, she's the life goddess. If you read between the lines and piece a lot of little things together (mostly in the pieces that come after this chronologically) you might get what the goddess wants, but I don't think I have ever come out and said it.

Not exactly. They arrived a little late to intervene on the destruction of a village. The goddess wasn't especially happy about the state of things and Sethan appeased her (one life for thousands...even if they were plants).

thanks :)

ohh, I remember this now! Had to scroll back up to see which pieces you'd linked but I remembered 'eye for an eye' quite vividly. Surprising to see Sethan divulging anything (even if his truth is somewhat lacking) ;)

I realize I don't really know what Cheva wants with Shamino...hm...

I think at this point Sethan's actually getting a little scared about Cheva and the hold she's gaining and he's realizing he's going to need someone to trust. But, you know, Sethan's not very good at thruth ;)

thanks :)
