I completely agree with both Aaron and you about Firefly, even though I arrived on that scene a few years late.
Aaron, sweetie, you do not have to have sex just because everyone around you seems to dig it. (I've always assumed that sex =/= something you automatically like the first time or if you do it with someone you aren't attracted to.) I'm intrigued by this new development and I hope he'll figure it all out. And it's nice to see that Ivy's supportive in her own Ivy way. The 'bite me' stuff was amusing. Typical siblings.
He pretty much has figured it out. From here on it's just coming to terms with it. And Ivy will always support her big brother, even if the police come calling. :D Thanks very much for reading!
I fucking agree about Firefly, I still lament it. :(((((
This is a really endearing conversation between siblings! I really love how you portray these two. Even the narration seems to fit them both--by the time I got to Ivy prepared to be indignant, it sounded so much like her! I'm also sure lots of people have felt like Aaron does, too, at some point in their lives... I hope he decides to keep an open mind, at least. Enjoyable read. :)
He's pretty much sure about his asexuality, and I think he'll be much more comfortable now that he knows it's an okay thing to be, you know? Ivy being so nonchalant about it probably helped. I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading, and for your compliments!
"Tips and tricks for coming out, number one. Be sure of what you're coming out about first."
Hahahahaha! You tell him Ivy! This was really sweet, and very funny. I like that they can talk about stuff, because a lot of siblings can't. I wonder how it's going to down with his mum though. Things like that don't always go down as well as being gay, because it's even less understood. Nice story :)
Ivy and Aaron started out as friends and then became siblings, so they can talk to each other about a lot of stuff that most siblings can't. Which doesn't mean that Aaron necessarily wants Ivy to know about his sex life. And I'll have to write out the bit with his mother, because I don't know how she'll react either. Thanks for your compliments, and for reading!
(word on the not-being-understood, by the way. You would not believe some of the nonsense I get)
Ah, friends then siblings makes more sense. Different mother, same father right?
And I probably would believe some of the nonsense you get. I've been so missunderstood so many times if I told them I was actually an alien from another planet they might actually believe me ;)
Technically they're not related, but Aaron's father adopted Ivy when she was a girl, because her own biological father is a schmuck. So yes, different mother, same father.
I actually had someone tell me that there was something seriously wrong with me and I should see a doctor immediately, because no human could possibly not want to have sex. *eyeroll*
This is pretty awesome. I like the concepts and I love how the two are obviously very comfortable with each other. Great relationships and good dialogue here!
