Aw, this was a very sweet little snippet. You have such a way with descriptions too--I like how, even in this short piece, I can get a feel for the settings and actions of you characters. :D

That's a likable little girl, Mara. What was she doing there, lying on the ground? Had she slipped away from her aunt and chores or was it her free time? I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more.
