Challenge: Guava, Peanut Butter
Word Count: 484
Rating: R (language, eh-heh.)
Story: Recipe for the Damned
Summary: "I guarantee you won’t leave here… as a ghost, you might.”
Note: Mavis is the main heroine of this story, I'm just now beginning to explore her character. Also... I wonder if this would still be considered "hot fudge" because it IS centered around Montague, who is the main villain... but it also has Mavis. *blank*

Mavis tilted her head back, shaking her hair away from her face and lifted the creaky wooden chair above her head, attempting to hit Montague with it. In turn, he backpedaled, allowing the chair to smash into pieces on the floor.

“How rude, I ask you a simple question and you attack me!” he let out of a howl of laughter, stepping sideways to avoid being hit by a broken leg from the chair. Mavis panted, wiping the sweat from her brow and lashed at him, again.

Montague released a gentle sigh. He waited for her to get close enough before reaching out and grabbing the chair leg; he tore it away from her and then kneed her gut. She spat blood and fell to her knees, clutching her stomach.

“You’re not a hunter.” He stated, stamping a foot on her chest, forcing her onto her back. For a moment all he did was observe her expressions, how they twisted when he moved his foot in certain places. Finally, his eyes drifted to the silver badge pinned to her coat.

“…A detective? Well, you’re not a hunter, but you’re as bad as one.” Montague forced more of his weight onto her chest, she gasped but didn’t scream.

Montague’s lips pulled up into a wide smile. “So then, why have you come searching for me? I hardly think I’ve caused any trouble for you or the city.”

Mavis stared up at him. “You’re a sick bastard who deserves to die. You killed all of those people! Those innocent people!”

He formed an o shape with his mouth, bobbing his head in understanding. “You have the facts twisted around. I did not kill all of those people, my chef did. I merely eat those people.”

“Y…you sick son of a bitch!” she screamed, thrashing her body around.

Montague kicked her head, ending her struggling instantly. “I’m human, don’t I have the right to eat just like everyone else? What makes me different from you and other humans is that my hunger cannot be satisfied from what you find in a store.” He explained, grinding his heel into her skull.

“What I require… is human flesh. It really is an acquired taste, but, there is nothing else like it. My darling Sally can prepare it in such a way that even someone like you wouldn’t realize what it was.”

Mavis groaned, her hands clenching his ankle, trying to force it off her sore body. “You disgusting freak!”

“Maybe, but I guarantee you won’t leave here… as a ghost, you might.”

With Montague focused on her face, he hadn’t noticed her reaching down to the hoister on her hip and removed a gun. She shot his leg, feeling the fear in her gut settle slightly as shouted and backed away from her.

Mavis stood from the ground, pointing the gun at his forehead. “I’ll be your executioner today.”
