Notes: read Part 1 & 2 first...

Miss Dunaway was my absolute nightmare. She was just downright annoying. She didn’t understand that I was not a little kid, and whenever she talked to me, she talked like I was two. This was no exception.

“Oh, you poor girl, how’d you get all wet?” She said, when she saw me. Now you may think that that was a kind thing to say, but not the way she said it, it was more like “What in the world got you wet, you should have a timeout.” Type tone. “A puddle.” I muttered. I was not in the mood for chit-chat. I walked around Dunaway and up to my room, dripping water all over, well, not much but a little.

The blue walls and shaggy blue carpet in my room didn’t cheer me up like they usaully did. The carpet seemed itchy and walls too…too…blue. I wasn’t sure why but I felt like…I don’t know…like I didn’t belong anywhere anymore. Not in D.C. And not in California. Skye didn’t want me here, and I was sure Courtney, Miranda, and Izzy were getting along just fine without me in California. Nobody needed me. Not even Krystal, though she seemed to depend on me a lot, she still had Skye. And then I realized it.

Skye didn’t like like me, he just thought I was a good friend, he really liked Krystal. Which I couldn’t see how anyone would, she’s a hyperactive preppy…I could go on, but no, Skye had to like her, she was pretty than me, super skinny, way more normal-whatever that’s suppose to mean, she tried to be nice to everybody, and she was a Christian. And who knew what else Skye saw in her.

My head was starting to hurt thinking about all this stuff, so after I changed out of my still sort of wet clothes, I collapsed onto my bed, wanting to go to sleep and forget about what had happened today. Then I remembered that the only reason I’d even asked Skye was because of Courtney and Izzy. So I opened my laptop, and logged into my IM. IzzyArtist23 and Minniebell14 appeared on screen. Izzy and Miranda were online.

Jewelwriter96: Hey.

I typed the word trying not to show how mad I was.

IzzyArtist23: Hey ya, how’d the dare go?

Leave it to Izzy to bring it up right away.

Jewelwriter96: Uh, yeah…

IzzyArtist23: Let me guess,

you didn’t ask him.

Jewelwriter96: I did, I just don’t want to talk about it.

IzzyArtist23: Did he turn you down?

Jewelwriter96: I said I didn’t want to talk about it.

IzzyArtist23: Oh, he did didn’t he? *hugs*

Jewelwriter96: No, I’m just sitting here crying cuz he said yes..

IzzyArtist23: Are you ever NOT sarcastic? But seriously, I can’t believe he did that, he likes you, I was sure of that…

Jewelwriter96: Well, you were wrong. He likes Krystal.

IzzyArtist23: You mean the girl you met at the mall?

Jewelwriter96: Yeah; we eat lunch together and she’s like super pretty, skinny and normal than me.

IzzyArtist23: What’s that suppose to mean? You’re really pretty, with your hair and your eyes. Wait, is confident JulieAnn actually insecure about something...

Jewelwriter96: Never mind. Like you care…

I knew that she did care, but it just didn’t seem like she did, and I really was tired of talking about it.

IzzyArtist23: Don’t say that. I care about you, Jewels, you’re my best friend. I didn’t mean to be mean. It sounds like you have competion for Skye….

Jewelwriter96: I know you do but….I don’t know….I’m no competition for Krystal

IzzyArtist23: Yes, you are. A little friendly competition never hurt…

Jewelwriter96: When its over a guy it does….

IzzyArtist23: I’m sorry, Jewels. I never should have made you ask him.

And that’s sort of what I’d been waiting for. But it didn’t really cheer up any, and before I could reply she typed:

I g2g, moms is calling. Ttyl!

I still felt like crap inside, I flopped down on my bed trying to think of what to do. I couldn’t think of anything at all.  So I went downstairs in search of…I don’t know something to distract myself. All I find was a big bowl of strawberries on the kitchen counter. So I took them up to my room and turned on one of rock cds. And I sat there on my bed eating strawberries, and listening to music. For about two and half hours.
