“This is none of your business, Simon!” Lizzie yelled.
“I was trying to help you.” If he didn’t sound apologetic it was because he wasn’t. He knew what he did, why he did it and he would do it again.
“Hey guys, what’s going on?” Kate asked.
Everyone was in the living room. Rachel sat on the sofa, Dean stood leaning on one of the chairs and Lizzie and Simon were squaring off in centre of the room.
“He told Kathy Darren hit me.” Lizzie spat out.
“He was trying to help.” Dean said.
“Darren hit you?” Kate asked concerned and took a step closer to her.
“That is not the point. You had no right to interfere.” She directed at Simon again.
“Lizzie, if Darren hit you, Kathy needs to know.” Kate pointed out.
“You can’t keep this to yourself.” Simon said.
“Coming from the master of mystery.” Dean scoffed. All eyes turned to him. “If any of us even speculate on what you may or may not be getting up to you throw a fit.”
“That’s different.” Simon didn’t want the argument turning round on him.
“What, because its you?” Kate asked.
“No. I was looking out for you, Lizzie. That guy should not be doing this.”
“We may have to live together but that doesn’t mean you get to but in with my life. If there was a problem, I would’ve told her.”
“Lizzie, there is a problem. He shouldn’t be anywhere near when you visit. Simon did the right thing.” Kate defended.
“It was my choice. I won’t get to see my mum for who knows how long now and I definitely won’t be going there on my own. She’s been trying really hard to get her life back on track…”
“Not hard enough if she’s still seeing guys like that.” Simon mumbled.
“This is really gonna hurt her and its all your fault!” Lizzie said and stormed off to her room.
