Reida is quite self-destructive, huh? Crazy woman. What I love most about Reida's looks is that she doesn't have a perfect body and that it's not out of proportion or looks weird. It looks good and consistant in every single drawing you've done of her and I love that about her so much, I just always forgot to mention it. All of your characters have distinct shapes but I think Reida's are my favorite for oh so many reasons.
It always frustrates and turns me off when everyone in a story is all (fashion magazine standard) beautiful. I'm never all that fond of that look or the lack of variation to go with it. I really like Reida's shape too, because it's mine - I'm pretty much little and kind of round. I had a terrible time finding any references to do this piece though, because all the pictures I could find were skimpy models.
It's really, really bad when you can't find reference to what real women look like and can only find those (not so real) women. Especially the insane evil female characters are always portrayed as irresistible, so I think I'm in love with the idea of Reida looking like your average girl, even cute but being anything but normal.
There was a moment of disconcertion for me in viewing this piece...for a moment I thought the reflection was standing differently than the figure outside the mirror. Then I decided it pretty much just adds to the whole mood of the piece...uncanny...
oh no! I hope she came off well enough, I am not good with mirrors :(
I had a reference, but she was skimpy, and she was holding a dress/nightgown/something up in front of her, so I was just using her for basic body placement anyway.
Whoa! Reida is one freeky girl (well, we knew that anyway, but..) Not just the sigils, but the fact that she appears to be holding a chisel... Good job on the drawing :)
I swear it's a brush! (that's the back end of the handle, no? the bristles behind her hand) We are all always ready to suspect the worst of her, aren't we? ;)

You remember the video game piece? Well, she won't be growing tentacles...
