I see what you mean about the dialogue-- little less random name-dropping and a little more Olivia?

Thank you very much for reading!

Yeeeeeah about time huh. :D

Thank you very much for the concrit! I really appreciate it. And yeah, feline_muse mentioned the same thing. Less name-dropping, more Olivia actually talking about herself, you think?

Thanks for reading!

It's in the first book (I think; might be second) but it's a super subtle reference. I can think of maybe one person who might catch it without having read the book very recently, and she analyzes these books like it's her job. Also, Dresden Files is made of win y/y/mfy. Have you read Butcher's other series?

Thanks very much for your compliments! There will be much more with this lot and hopefully some Lars-centric stuff soon.

I like that Gina's come back to the same bar looking for Ivy for that long. And that Ivy and Aaron seem to bet on the victor in their basketball matches. Your characters are amazing. I don't think there's one I don't like. <3

"...how have we been living in the same city since college without running into each other?"

"Magic?" <<< Wasn't a variation of this in Storm Front? It sounds really familiar and I can't check the book because I LOST IT, THANKS U-HAUL.

Aww, thank you very much! That's such a lovely compliment. I said up the post a bit that characters are my favorite part of writing, so it's good to know I'm getting them right. And of course Ivy and Aaron bet on the victor. Ivy knows she always wins so she can extort wheedle things out of her brother that way.

omg you're a Dresden Files fan how are we not friends already That's actually not the reference, but it's a SUPER subtle one. I will give you cookies for knowing wtf I was talking about in the first place. *gives cookies* Also, U-Haul is full of suck and I am sorry you lost your book.

Thank you so much for reading!

I like the characterization, it's easy to get a grasp of everyone's personalities. I especially liked the awkward bit of conversation after Ivy arrived.
