As the headmaster's spindly fingers rested upon Kathy's shoulder, her parents disappeared and the car doors closed- the nature of the situation finally hit Kathy at full force.
"Don't leave me here!" she wanted to cry out. "I don't deserve this!"
That gleaming red car trundled down the dirt track and disappeared into the woods as Kathy's hand curled in and out of a fist. She could hear the iron gates grinding shut across the distance, effectively trapping her within the school- and setting her parents free. Kathy gritted her teeth.
'...you'll regret this... I will make you regret this...'
