It had gone flat as Mic and I rode to get food. I shook my head and said "It's going to be a while, baby girl. Hold tight." Mic peeked out at me and said "Ok, Joshie."
Fixing the wheel, I heard, "You think it was ok leaving Fire with Chaison?"
I chuckled thinking about my cocky ass best friend. "Nope."
"Why not?!"
Pushing my hat up I said, "Mickey, honey...Chaison gets what he wants. He hasn't met a woman who has blocked his advances. He's all man, just like me."
Mickey grinned. "We'll see. He doesn't know Phoenix."
