Newbie Alert...
Hey there. Er... After prompting from various fronts, (C, Fynn, July) and a thought about how I really should write more, I've decided to give this a go. I'll probably take about ten years to do anything, but hey. May as well, am I right?
I have three (main) stories, set in three eras of what is, essentially, one 'verse. The first, set way, way back, in Piratin' times, when the French and English were doing the Colonisation thing, is about a pirate captain named Rille. He's from what we'd call Haiti, but is what he calls "The Island," and he uses a modified version of Voodoo, which I call Houdoun. (This is mainly just a pronunciation thing.)
The second is set in the early-to-mid Nineties, mainly around California, and the western states. It's Star and Villain is Lus - real name unused - who is a serial mutilator; He has an obsession with colour and eyes, and so steals them. Yes, this is disgusting, and is, in fact, one of my biggest squicks. He then keeps them in jars. Best part is, he leaves his victims alive!
The last story is set about ten years after Lus' Story, on the east coast of the states, in New York. At about the year two-thousand, people started to notice freak mutations (yes, I know this sounds a lot like X-Men). Not that they started happening then, that's just when people started noticing. This part of the story focusses on a District Attorney named Shane Ombre, who has the ability to meld with and become part of shadows.
There're also bits of the 'verse that I've written say way in the Future (Interplanetary Bounty Hunters, YAY!) but for the most part, it's those three stories. (I've also got a few inbetweenies, but...)
So, uh, yeah. That's me, and that's my stories.
